1. Download the latest iTunes 10.5 beta 9, direct link, install it
2. Download iOS 5 for your iPhone, downloads are available here, http://imzdl.com. For ATT users, use GSM, for Verison, CDMA.
3. Extract the IPSW file from the iOS 5 seed

Thanks. Where in the world did Apple hide these instructions?
I already have iTunes with a lot of songs/apps on it, but it's not 10.5 beta 9. When I go to iTunes, will I be able to update to 10.5 beta 9, or will I have to install it?
If I do have to install it, will all my songs/apps still be there?
You can't update at this time, just download the file ad install, it'll work as an update and all your songs and apps will stay untouched
@angry CEO it's not in the instruction, you just need to google it....
iOS 5 will be release Oct 12th, and the iPhone 4S will be release Oct. 14th
@Albert thanks
how do I extract the seed file exactly?
iOS 5 will arrive this week, October 12, I know there are so many new powerful functions on it, but Siri will not come with it for iPod Touch 4 and other old devices.
I have just installed IOS, thanks for the guide for download.
