probably started from Garfield's hilarious photo-taking scene(click this) with the Big Ben in A Tail of Two Kitties, this photo taking skill has been the hottie in town.

on the run
life's been on the run this month. Spent the first two weeks in Atlanta, New York, Shanghai and Jiangsu. Now I'm back in Hong Kong, it's a whole mess 'coz two assignments are due and two exams are approaching the following week and I need to make up all the courses missed through reading, reading, and reading! Hope to get it over with soon, comes April, life's full of sunshine again.

Taiwan or Japan
while Apple Store is updating its products, seems it's updated something more...
see the word "Taiwan" on the upper-right, it says "Japan" right above "Taiwan"...

point C
professors have ways to confuse his/her students, as in today's Game Theory, Prof. Zamir showed how his professor used to confuse him.
"Given a point A, let's call it B", as he was saying this, he wrote a C next to the point.

VISA to USA
never thought it would be this easy and fast to be granted VISA to USA in Hong Kong.
1. make application payment at Da Sing Bank and keep the receipt.
2. submit an application online, also book an appointment.
3. go to the Consulate General, submit your documentary and proofs.
4. leave your finger prints and talk to an officer, results will be disclosed to you right after the talk.
5. wait for 2 days till your visa attached to your passport arrives your house.
that's it. the whole process takes no more than four days, no tedious red tape to go through, and a one year-valid VISA to USA is approved even if I only requested to stay for three days. That's what they call efficiency. It took me one and half a months to get a three days-valid visa to Taiwan, and that's even under special circumstance. Politics can be very interesting....

Hong Kong from Lion Rock
from the top of Lion Rock, you get to see New Terrritories, Kowloon Peninsula and Hong Kong Island, almost the panorama of Hong Kong SAR. Weren't for the fog, it should be way grander.

the Mist

There's gonna be about a month in south China (at least in Zhuhai and Guangzhou where I've lived, and now Hong Kong) it's gonna be like this foggy and humid. Don't get surprised if
- your indoor floor got all drenched even if there's no water leak on the ceiling or breach in your water pipe;
- your clothes wouldn't get dry for days if you don't have them dried with a drying machine;
- your visibility lowers down to meters;
- your clothes in the closet got all smelly and wet;
- your screens of your TV, PC, mobiles or your glasses got dew on them in the morning;
- the roads and streets look like being flushed even if there's no rain for days;
- your mum tells you to watch carefully when crossing the road or walking on the tiled floors in case of unnoticed vehicles or slippery;
- your lover tells you to drive slowly to avoid hitting things you miss to see in the fog;
- .......

Societies' Promotion Week
the first two weeks is societies' promotion week. To recruit new members, each society would have this "roadshow" on campus, where they take every effort to demonstrate that their society is actually the one you should not miss in your entire life, these include handing out posters and gifts, giving performance, shouting out slogans, wearing bizarre costumes, etc. When you walk into them, you feel this passion and confidence.

Tai Long Wan(大浪灣) Hiking
Tai Long Wan is an awesome spot for hiking. Fabulous beach views and mountainous scenery. The hiking path has been well designed and is mature for years, hiking infrastructures are also perfectly equipped. Restrooms, Emergency Help Lines, Direction Board and Landmarks are distributed within reasonable distance. It took us more than 4 hours to walk through the red-dotted path. Arduous task but totally worthy it!
This gives you a general idea where this spot is located:
